Sophia Leslie at one year old in September 2008. We love her SO much! She'll be a big sis in March.
: )

Finally posting!

Well after having not posted for MONTHS, I figured I better get back on the wagon and get some information on here. Work is going very well. The Fall 2008 semester is over and I'm gearing up for the next semester already. I've been working on creating a new course (basically an advanced course of the desktop publishing course I teach now). It's call MCOM 492 - Advanced Desktop Publishing and I'm really hoping to get enough students signed up for the course for it to go. I need 10 students signed up for the course to continue, those are university requirements. We'll see how it goes. I'll also be teaching MCOM 161 - Desktop Publishing, my usual course with 30 students. We're going to try it online this summer too so that should be interesting.

The holidays are upon us so Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all! I'll be working at the bookstore a lot but definitely will have time for friends and family this holiday season.

Work almost over! : )

Well this is my last week of work and then I'm FREE for the summer! Hopefully we can get some stuff done at the house now. We are hoping to paint and lay new carpet on the second level where all the bedrooms are...currently it's shag carpet and wood paneling (barf!) and then we will continue the major reconstruction on the first floor. We are doing that because after the main level is complete (probably in 5 years) then we'll start on the attic on the third level for a master bedroom for Jensen and I. I cannot wait!!! That's my plan for the summer and to hang with my baby girl! She LOVES being outside and just watching everything. We were in the pool I bought her all weekend or just hanging out outside. She actually fell asleep in the swing outside at my mom's this weekend. It was SO cute! I'll continue to blog over the summer so check it out. I'm looking for teaching jobs in the area. I love teaching at State but without my PhD, they won't let me take on anymore classes and I want to teach more so we'll see! HAPPY SUMMER!

Work this week!

The last two weeks of work have been pretty difficult. As the Coordinator of the South Dakota High School Press Association, I am responsible for setting up all the events of the SDSU Summer Institute program. Basically, it's a summer camp for journalism high school students. I work from 8am to around 7pm, sometimes longer, and I'm exhausted. I had no idea I was going to have so much work to do for this event. Tomorrow is the last day of a two-week stint and I'm excited! I can't wait to be done!
